6-ss-1.jpgWhen China is actively developing the economy, many young rural migrant workers from a lot of remote rural areas move to the cities and make a living through working there. With the free flowing of these large quantities of working people, there are around twenty three million Children who have to be kept at home, and a new social problem has arisen, which is the issue of rural children being left to the care of others rather than parents.

Los Angeles Times pointed out that the large quantities of children left to the care of others rather than parents are in the grass root levels of society. They are growing up without being accompanied by their parents, and they are living in the villages where most of the people are the children and the aged.

These guardians have the lower Education level. They often put personal safety, food, and warm clothing for the children as the most important things. But they pay less attention to the Children’s School Study Results, behavioral habits, the need of psychology, and leave them alone to develop by themselves.

Being without the love and training from their parents, these children (being left to the care of others rather than their parents) are likely to suffer from all kinds of mental diseases. They have no concept of moving forward and think their parents can earn the money from different areas even without enough education. Then, when they are fed up with study they even play hockey instead, so they become orphans to some extent.

The study and living situations of the rural children is worrisome. It is a national social issue and should attract more social attention.

Mr LiuXuan, currently living in Canada, who has been involved in pushing forward the China democracy movements at the end of the seventies say’s he has been concerned and has researched the social issues in China for a long time. He pointed out: “The corrupt officials of the CPP consume 10 billion dollars worth of food with public money. The poverty is the not the root reason of this, but the severe social issue of the gap between the rich and the poor in China.”

At the other hand, the guideline of CCP officials is to develop the economy unilaterally. The local officials regard their political achievements and the GDP as their hard mark. They never think about the rural development in the long run, the construction of humankind and culture, or the sufferings of the people.
