According to the “Global Quitting CCP Service Centre”, on the 10th of January, Zhang Shuxia from Shunyi District, Beijing has resigned from the Chinese Communist Party, alleging the Party covered up the death of her husband.

Zhang’s husband, Liu Jinhe, was a worker for the social environment and sanitation department for the Beijing Olympics and was beaten to death whilst doing his job, by his neighbours Wu Fengying and her son Liu Qiuli.

The court however handed down a judgement identifying the cause of death as acute heart failure from coronary artery atherosclerosis. The court consequently judged the offence as manslaughter.

Zhang said the two neighbours bribed the public security departments to escape responsibility.

Neither Zhang nor her lawyer can obtain her husband’s autopsy report.
Zhang claimed “Shun Yi Public Security Bureau, the court and the prosecuting attorney department seized the report. They said that it is a state secret. In actual fact, they are abusing the basic human rights.”

As a result of the injustice Zhang has withdrawn from the CCP on behalf of her husband saying “my husband was beaten brutally to death by the two. I couldn’t accept the judgment and represented my husband in the Quitting CCP announcement.”
