Breaking News - Eyewitnesses suspect the initial Tibetan violence was plotted
Large-scale captures continue in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. Sounds of danger and fear continue throughout the night as groups upon groups of Tibetans are captured by the Chinese communist regime amidst the sound of gunfire
According to Lhasa residents, since the military crack down by the Chinese communist regime on March 14, there are large scale capture activities every night and continuous warnings on the television.
One Lhasa resident says that “we cannot get out” (reporter: I hear the officials want people to turn themselves in, is there a deadline?) Before midnight 17 March” (reporter: are there still troops on the roads?) Yes, still many (what do these soldiers carry?) guns, and batons.
An ethnic Chinese person in Tibet told SOH that the official deadline on March 17 has past and a number of his Tibetan friends are highly nervous and tense right now. He said that he saw another group of Tibetans being removed from their house on the morning of March 18.
The ethnic Chinese believe that according to what he has observed, there was more to the story about the initial outbreak on March 14 in Lhasa. (recording) “ (reporter: who went to smash and steal (property) on the 14th?) I suspect it was schemed by the Chinese Communist Party, they are into scheming…what can we do…to help the Tibetans?
The above news is brought to you by Yun Dai, Tian Ling, Xian Wen and Chris Thomas for the SOH Radio Network.
