Lately more than 100 mainland Chinese scholars brought about 12 recommendations for the Chinese Communist government, with regard to recent unrest in Tibet. According to scholar Gao Yu, the 12 recommendations called for the government to correct their mistaken conceptions and actions on the matter.

Gao Yu said, “The explosion of the Tibetan issue has been a piercing ethnic conflict caused by political factors. The terminology used in Communist state media has never changed, for example ‘organized’, ‘planned’, and ’schemed by Dalai Lama’. I feel a very important part for resolving the issue in Tibet, is the Communist regime must converse directly with Dalai Lama.”

In relation to Chinese Communist state controlled media claims, careful plans and schemes from the Dalai Lama in recent events of vandalism and robberies committed by Tibetans, was the reason for the crackdown on Tibetans. Scholar Ms Liu Yimin expressed it was hard to believe.

Ms Liu said, “There is a complete lack of evidence, it’s thus very difficult for the international community to believe their propaganda. Many Tibetans follow Buddhism, so their moral character is perhaps relatively higher, and would not adopt these extreme actions in search of independence. Maybe the tricks of the Chinese Communists are hard to perceive for many people, but I see it very clearly. The rejection of foreign journalists was an early indication of the suppression on Tibetans.”
