Breaking News - Intensified crackdown by Communists on Tibetans further deteriorates the situation in Tibet
According to reliable sources in Mainland China, on 28th April, foreign media reporters were forbidden to enter Lhasa. The Chinese communist authorities specifically reduced deployment of the military, and police in Lhasa, and opened Sera Monastery in Lhasa that had been sieged for days while monks are allowed access to the temple. Yet, believers are still prohibited to worship in the temple. In addition, due to fewer monks remaining in the Drepung Monastery in Lhasa, the authorities allegedly claim that no worship or visit is allowed due to maintenance.
A Chinese person of Han race, who originally opposed the Dalai Lama and Tibetan independence, and also did not believe the Western media reports, returned from the Tibetan area, expressing that reports by overseas media have not wronged the CCP, on the contrary, they reported only 1% of the CCP’s evil conducts. He also stressed that the Chinese military and armed police who occupied the temples and expelled monks, treat Tibetans brutally and ruthlessly, which greatly shocked and disgusted him. He said that the outside world could not imagine the situation over there.
