Stages of the East - Chairman of the Philippines community: we had a wonderful time.
On 24th of April, the Divine Performing Arts show in Seattle came to a successful close amidst applause from political and community leaders. The show not only provided the audience with artistic enjoyment and spiritual uplifting, but everlasting, beautiful memories.
Mr. Peter Coolly, Chairman of the Philippines community in Seattle expressed excitedly to our reporter after watching the show: “It was really wonderful. Today five of us came together…. It was superb! We are looking forward to come next year.
When expressing his feelings he said “The show was so beautiful. The costumes, the acts and choreography were excellent. The singers were outstanding. I love the music, especially the drum act. Of course, the dancing acts were all graceful. We had a tremendous time. We loved it.”
Mr Coolly believed that the entire show presented to the audience pure Chinese culture and goodness. “The show presented dancing, music and singing. In addition, there were the stories of ‘The Lady of the Moon’, and ‘Risen Lotus’ and so on. The dancing styles and movements were all different. There were also martial arts, and everything was very pure.”
“We got to know that Falun Gong has been banned in China. The scenes of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China were quite prominent in the dances.”
