Breaking News - Shanghai petitioner Tong Guo-Jing’s lawsuit against Zhou Yong-Kang allowed appeal
Famous for suing Zhou Yong-Kang, the secretary of the Politics and Law Committee of the CCP, and the case against Zhou Yong-Kang the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of Shanghai, Shanghai petitioner Tong Guo-Jing expressed at an interview with SOH during his visit in Hong Kong, the case has entered the three-trial stage. He will appeal as soon as possible; he also accused Zhou Yongkang, after taking office, to have escalated his intensified suppression of commoners’ human rights in Mainland China.
TONG Guo Jing said that it is a surprise that he could be granted a visit to Hong Kong. His first and second trial was dismissed in the same way. Now, his case entered into its third trial stage. He plans in the next couple of months to raise the appeal before the arrival of Olympics, calling for the supervision of the People’s Congress before appealling at the Supreme Court proceedings.
TONG Guo Jing said that the lawsuit against Zhou Yongkang has dragged on for over a year. Until the opening of 17th Party Congress when he was suddenly advised that prosecution of the case was accepted, he got the first impression that the case has become a political case, as a bargaining chip by Hu and Wen as combat waged against Jiang’s clan.
Tong Guo Jing said that in the course of the entire case he met with the two harassments, one was a trade in good faith by the defendant, which he did not agree with; the second is the retaliation attack by Jiang’s faction in Shanghai for revenge, but he did not give up, and took the retaliation as a turning point, brining the grandson of Jiang Zemin, Wu Zhiming, the Chief of Shanghai Public Security Bureau to court, this case had been postponed three times, and was eventually rejected by the court.
