Breaking News - Senior Air Force Commander Yu Changxin secretly detained in Beijing
A former Falun Dafa Association member, and air-force officer Yu Changxin was secretly sentenced to eighteen years imprisonment, after the crackdown on Falun Gong began. His wife was sentenced to ten years imprisonment in a subsequent secret trial. Currently, Yu Changxin remains incarcerated at an air force base in Little Red Door Prison, in Zhaoyang district of Beijing, forbidden from outside contact. The Falun Gong practitioners detained at this location apparently suffer severe persecution.
According to the Hong Kong Human Rights Organization, the seventy six year old, Yu Changxin was China’s first generation test pilot, who contributed significantly to the nation’s air force. In the Air Force Commander’s Academy, Yu was a renowned professor, senior instructor, division commander, and held positions equal to that of a deputy Army Commander. During his career of more than thirty years, Yu completed approximately two thousand flight hours. He was also the main author of the textbook currently used by the academy. Yu began practicing Falun Gong in nineteen ninety-three, and was an assistant in the publication of many related books and audio-visual material.
Insiders reveal, since Yu was sentenced on the first of June two thousand, the government had twice ransacked his home. Everything from the walls, floor, to the shed was stripped of all valuables. Even exercise mats and small Falun emblems, which were pinned to clothes, were confiscated. On the nineteenth of March in the same year, the state issued an order to dismiss Yu’s wife, from the Air Force Commanders Academy. Their home was sealed off with official tape and locks, shortly before Jiang was illegally sentenced.
