ICT – The CCP persecutes Uighur people before the Olympics
The Chinese Communist authorities have used terrorism as a basis for prosecuting fifteen ethnic Uighurs. The United States Congress human rights core group issued a statement accusing the Chinese Communists in Beijing of persecuting the Uighur people before the Olympic games.
According to BBC reports, the US Congress is concerned about the human rights group that have been accused by the communist authorities. The CCP recently started their trial behind closed doors. Of the fifteen, two were to be executed immediately. Three were sentenced to death with reprieve, and the remaining ten people were sentenced to life imprisonment.
The two chairmen of the US Congress rights group, Democratic Party Congressman McGovern and Republican Congressman Wolf said there were incidents, which abused the process and rule of law. Wolf criticized the Chinese government for using the ‘war on terrorism’ and ‘Olympic security’ as a cover for the persecution of Uighurs. McGovern accused the Chinese Communists of conducting the trial in absolute secrecy. They urged the Chinese government to comply with the promises in their Olympic bid, where they committed to improving the human rights situation.
