Continuing our story from yesterday…on the thirtieth of June, SOH reporters interviewed local residents about a ten-thousand-people protest triggered by a suspected murder in Wengan County following an alleged police cover up.

According to latest news, authorities have gathered about three thousand armed police from surrounding cities and counties. Armed with tear gas and electric batons, they combed through the entire city. At least five have been killed, over one hundred and fifty injured and more than two hundred have been arrested so far. It’s feared that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime would adopt harsher measures ahead of the Olympics.

It is reported that government officials are not revealing the truth, waiting for the Central Party Committee to resolve the issues. Otherwise, these peasants would not let them get away with things. It was revealed that quite a few students and the headmaster of a school were killed. Many were injured but were turned away by hospitals. Two reporters tried to come over but were denied access.

A female student in Wengan County, Guizhou Province was raped and killed. Subsequently, the public security bureau covered up the incident and the murderer was released triggering public indignation. On the twenty eighth of June, tens of thousands of enraged citizens gathered around the county government building and set police cars on fire. When interviewed, a local resident said, 揟he situation is grave indeed. The government and public security bureau buildings were completely ruined. There were a few thousand students, teachers and other citizens. The officials are so unreasonable and unjust to ordinary citizens that even a trivial incident would face military crackdown. It is rather common, you can not get close to the Public Security Bureau or the county government buildings, which are guarded by armed police. Even when grocery shopping we cannot go that way.

A local resident that lives close to the School at Wengan said that local residents are furious. Yet the local government asked them to deny the rumour. Many residents are angry. The authorities turned a blind eye, to what has caused the conflict. The regime is doing propaganda everywhere – on cars, loudspeakers, and on TV.

From 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on 27th May, nearly 500 parents of students held a solemn memorial service on the wreckage of Juyuan High School in Dujiangyan City of Sichuan Province for the victims buried in the collapsed school buildings; at the service, parents expressed their pursuit of investigation of the jerry-buildings that collapsed in the tremor and their aspirations of the Government to build on the site of Juyuan High School wreckage an earthquake monument. In addition to parents at the scene, there were also local police and “China’s health supervision” officials that supervised at the scene.

According to participants at the memorial service, “Around 7:00 am on 27th May, about four or five hundred parents spontaneously assembled at the ruins of Juyuan High School to attend the memorial service for mouring, they made the banner: Compensate the bloody debt, severely punish the perpetrators, and redress for the victims.”

The official said: “parents grieve deeply, and they say we are very clear that the state’s education fundings are appropriated from the Ministry of Education down to individual local Departments of Education and the local government, and then to the school before the developer commences construction. This capital flow caused thin walls and less cement in building Juyuan High School that failed the stipulated standard and strength.”

People that attended the memorial service also said, “While parents mourn their victimized children, they also strongly urge the Government to build an earthquake monument on the wreckage site of Juyuan High School. The memorial service ended at 1:00 pm.

Insiders have revealed that casualties occurred at Juyuan High School had caused widespread concerns. Under strong pressure at home and abroad, Chinese Communists are seeking to bribe parents by coaxing and interfering with them from disclosing the truth to overseas media.

The above news is brought to you by Xiwen and hosted by Chris Thomas for Breaking News on the SOH Radio Network.

<itunes:summary>From 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on 27th May, nearly 500 parents of students held a solemn memorial service on the wreckage of Juyuan High School in Dujiangyan City of Sichuan Province for the victims buried in the collapsed school buildings; at the service, parents expressed their pursuit of investigation of the jerry-buildings that collapsed in the tremor and their aspirations of the Government to build on the site of Juyuan High School wreckage an earthquake monument.

Although the Chinese authorities took control and repressive measures in Tibet, civil demonstrations and protests still continue. In Zhuoni, South Gansu Province (a Tibetan-populated area) students of a Tibetan high school went on strike over the past few days. In Lhasa, the situation remains tense with uniformed security at roadblocks, and the mayor warns tourists to temporarily stay away from touring the area.

Some residents disclosed that the Tibetan school students held protest activities. Sources also said that on Tuesday the strike had ended. It was confirmed because after that day the landline of the school failed to open.

According to local residents, Lhasa has been seen on television under martial law, and the police are still seen arresting people. The atmosphere remains tense. Mayor of Lhasa Doje Cezhug simply appealled to visitors not to visit Tibet temporarily. In the outskirts of Lhasa City, there are police everywhere with set up security barricades.

In addition to the resistance against the despotic rule of the CCP in Lhasa, there were media reports revealing contradictions and inconsistency in Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s recent statements. Wen Jiabao put forward the conditions for dialogue with the Dalai Lama, that the Dalai Lama “exert his influence to halt the ongoing violence in Tibet,” which contradicts what he said in the National People’s Congress at the closing news conference. At that time, he said, the Lhasa incident is “organized, premeditated and carefully plotted and instigated by the Dalai Lama.”

Recently Tibetan students studying in various cities around Tibet wanting to return home have been obstructed by the Chinese Communist Regime. Officials have also started surveillance of Tibetan students in high schools and technical schools around China to prevent them from expressing their opinions. The students’ communication with their families in Tibet has also been cut off.

Tibetan officials have begun isolating Tibetans students living on campus, preventing them from returning home. This has prompted protests by students in various regions including those in Marekang Normal College in Gansu. One ethnic Han teacher from the College has confirmed that the schools in the county have prevented students from returning home since March 15.

The Han teacher said, “half the students are from Aba Township in Tibet and they want to go home, and the school is stopping them. I’m not too sure about confrontations, but the last couple of days we have been under martial law.

Although the Chinese communist regime has said that the situation in Lhasa and other Tibetan regions have calmed down, overseas media have pointed out that Tibetan protests are spreading to other regions. The force of the Chinese Communist regime crackdown is also growing.

<itunes:summary>Recently Tibetan students studying in various cities around Tibet wanting to return home have been obstructed by the Chinese Communist Regime.

After reading the Beijing University Three Corners BBS, an ethnic student has said that the sudden eruption of the Tibetan situation has intensified the debate on international cultural relationships.

The student has also posted his own piece on the BBS, writing that “Some one said that the Tibetan issue is a result of weak tactics of the central government, and that the situation would be a lot better had the central government taken a more aggressive stance. Another person says that: you can only treat ignorant and barbaric people with force. A third person said that: the construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the Sichuan-Tibet railway is good because the government can send troops in. Another fellow student from Nanjing University posted by proxy that Tibetan people are unfriendly towards ethnic Chinese with nonsense like “the critical issue is that we have given them too much religious freedom.” Another person from Xingjian even wrote that “the way to treat minority groups is to assimilate with military force” with replies to this posting saying “Kill, kill and kill again.”

This student wrote in his posting that “reading posting after posting with comments like military mobilisation and killing…it was unimaginable that scholars from the highest education institution from a friendly country when faced with the current situation would only think of forceful methods, military oppression, assimilation and even killing”

Some commentators have said that this is a result of the long term mind control and enslaving under the dictator rule and lies of the Chinese Communist Party. These types of comments are a result of the autocratic education of the Chinese Communist Party and so it’s not strange at all.

50 Tibetan students from the Beijing Central Cultural University, the highest level of ethnic education institution in China began a silent protest on March 17 inside the university campus. Their protest brings the demonstration of Tibetans to thecapital of China. Eyewitnesses have said that the protesting students have lit candles. There are public security officers present and while there was no confrontation, the bureau of public security has already began searching for the mastermind behind the university demonstrations.

The protest was the first similar event in Beijing since the eruption of demonstrations against the Chinese communist regime in Tibet last week. At the same time, the Chinese communist regime continues its blockade of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. The streets of Lhasa are lined with military police and armoured vehicles with officials searching private residents amidst the solemn atmosphere. The Tibetan demonstrations have meanwhile spread from Tibet to Sichuan, Qinghai and Gansu provinces and remote Tibetan regions. Many universities in western China have held peaceful demonstrations to express support for the Tibetans who are fighting the violent rule of the Chinese communist regime.

In Huilan region in Gansu province, over 500 ethnic Tibetan students staged a silent protest on March 16 at the Xibei Cultural University, posting materials around the university campus explaining the situation in Lhasa and actively supporting their fellow Tibetans.

At the same time, Tibetan students in Ganan Cooperation Teachers College have also staged protests, which turned into serious clashes with the Party Committee of the school. Currently, The Xinang Cultural University is under heavy surveillance by military police who fear that Tibetan students might begin to act.

According to sources, the Chinese communist regime has hugely increased the number of military in the western part of China, including parachute troops who are entering Tibet from the sky.

There has been news that the Chengdu Military Region is on first alert and they are dispatching troops to Tibet. Expert analysis points out that the arms outfit appearing on the streets of Lhasa indicates that the Chinese communist regime has already mobilised elite troops in this latest crackdown.

<itunes:summary>50 Tibetan students from the Beijing Central Cultural University, the highest level of ethnic education institution in China began a silent protest on March 17 inside the university campus.

Lately Han River in Hubei Province, China, has been seriously contaminated with three tributaries downstream along the Qianjiang, Jianli County, and another dozen townships, towns, and farms affected, causing over 200,000 residents to be unable to use normal water. Some schools had been closed as a result.

The three polluted tributaries at the lower reaches of Han River respectively are Xing Long River, Tian Guan River, and Dongxing River that join in river flows. Xing Long River merges into Dongxing River after passing through Guan River Sewage Gate.

Discovering the water pollution, many local water plants along the upper reaches of Dongxing River tracked down the sources of pollution, and found that the polluted water runs from Han River into Qian River and Jianli County after passing through Xing Long Sewage Gate. Apparently it is large-scale pollution. Staff of Qianjiang City Environmental Protection Bureau said the city has a total of five farms, and that nearly 200,000 residents in the three townships are affected by the water pollution.

Director Gao Qi Jin from the Water Plant of Xingou Jianli County said at 16:00 on the 24th February, that they found water of a reddish colour with a huge amount of foam, and water turbidity and the colour failed the standards as edible drinking water. The water supply was severed instantly.

As Xinggou County lacks an emergency source of water supply, water supply had to be stopped for more than 60,000 residents in the township with five high schools closed in the affected area.

In addition, the adjacent Yuyang High School with more than 3,000 teachers and students had to close due to serious disruptions in life.

According to local residents, the river still shows a dark red colour.

<itunes:summary>Lately Han River in Hubei Province, China, has been seriously contaminated with three tributaries downstream along the Qianjiang, Jianli County, and another dozen townships, towns, and farms affected, causing over 200,000 residents to be unable to use normal water.

On the 19th of February during the conference of The CCP’s two national congress sessions, Xinhua Net (the official media) suddenly issued an article which highly praised Hu Yaobang, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) General Secretary. His quality and charm as a public servant are recognised through recalling a story of his demise in the early period. This comportment has triggered suppositions on CCP personnel changes from outside and a great number of applauded posts followed up on the net.

Selected from the CCP News Net, the article stated that although Hu Yaobang died 19 years ago, his great achievements of being a quality public servant are still widely praised. For the sake of evidence of his demise, the CCP News Net also attached a letter from Hu to Chen Yun and Deng Xiaoping, care of the Chairman and Original Secretary Office on the 22nd of September 1956.

On the anniversary of Hu’s 90th birthday in 2005, Hu Jintao and the CCP leadership wanted to hold a large-scale celebration for Hu Yaobang to show their goodness to reformists and in this way to consolidate their leading power. However, the resolution hasn’t been passed because of the Jiang’s favourites’ opposition at the meeting of the Standing Committee of Politburo. The proposal eventually was passed at the conference of Politburo finally, however, the celebration specifications were minimised and lowered under the compromisation of Hu Jintao by Zeng Qinghong, the Vice Chairman of the CCP.

According to sources, as the former General Secretary of The CCP Hu Yaobang averred moderate ways for the students’ protests when they advocated for democracy in 1987, Hu was attacked by the internal hardliners and was forced to resign his position. Because of that, Hu gained broad respect and esteem from citizens in China. On his death in April 1989, it triggered a larger scale and a wider range of demonstrations for democracy in various parts of China and was suppressed by the authorities on the 3rd of June 1989. Later, “Hu Yaobang” became a sensitive term in official media.

The Global Quit CCP Centre revealed on 30th January, two university students who recently quit the CCP affiliated Youth and Pioneer League expressed that the Communist Party is too corrupt, and many Chinese people have come to recognize the CCP. However, due to the information blockade, people do not know the channel for quitting the Party. They feel that a good way is to quit the CCP in a public statement published over the Epoch Times (Dajiyuan) website, which will allow more people to take the initiative to quit the CCP.

A college student from Hunan who had quit the CCP-affiliated Youth and Pioneer League expressed that the Communist Party is not elected by the people, without supervision, the Party officials abuse their power oppressing people. So he responded to the campaign and calls on more people to quit the Party (recording): ” The Communist Party controls all of the Mainland media. Whoever opposes to them will be jailed. The ordinary people have neither power nor influence, so it dares to suppress them. And nobody is in a position to supervise the Communist Party that gained its power through violence.”

Another Mainland student said, the Communist Party is too corrupt, the purpose of controlling the media is that CCP fears exposure of the crimes it commits (recording): “The government is gravely corrupt. The corruption has been so bad, for the television and broadcasting entities are run by the state and under the control of the Communist Party that would not publicize its own crimes.”

The students added that many sober-headed people, like our teacher in the past, had told them never to join the Communist Party (recording): “You know that many Chinese people have been awakened. When I took my college entrance exams, I asked my teacher what would be an ideal career for my future, our teacher said to me that whatever you do is fine, as long as you do not join the Communist Party.”

According to statistics made by the Epoch Times, more than 31 million people have quit the CCP and all of its affiliated organizations.

<itunes:summary>The Global Quit CCP Centre revealed on 30th January, two university students who recently quit the CCP affiliated Youth and Pioneer League expressed that the Communist Party is too corrupt, and many Chinese people have come to recognize the CCP.
